Now It's Christmas!

I just got home and mom asked me to help update our Christmas tree with more of those tiny lights she bought. Oh Christmas is just around the corner!! (*ha-ha! such a coincidence that our Tree stands at a corner in the meantime.*)

I used to say these past few weeks that it's only until i get my board exams done when I'd truly be able to feel the Christmas season.

How silly of me. (As i usually am)

Christmas IS NOT about me. It's definitely not about ME abstaining from thoughts of holiday shopping, Christmas parties and other unnecessarily tempting and commercialized activities we usually get busy with when December comes.

Rather, it's about JESUS and how He was born into this earth as a cute little baby so that a bunch of mean, silly kids like us could be saved from things much, much, worse than failing a two-day examination.

What a paradigm shift! Haha.

Keep The Faith

Grabe. Malapit na ang board exams. Hindi ko na alam kung ano pa ang gagawin kong paghahanda para sa dalawang araw na iyon. Aside sa simulan ang regular na Kegel's Exercise nang huwag maging hyperactive ang bladder ko, feeling ko marami pa akong hindi nababasang libro.

Kasi naman, habang padami ng padami ang nababasa kong libro at mga old board exams na sinagutan at chineck, mas lalo namang nababaklas itong right eye ko. Gore ba pakinggan? Pasensya na. I mean, naluluha kasi ako pag nagbabasa. Kaya yung eyelid ko nagiging dry and cracked. Tama ba naman yung napagsabihan ako one time nang normal voice lang, (pero feeling ko lang nka megaphone sya dahil talagang naconscious ako) .. Hala, Doll! Is that an infection? Parang gusto kong irewind ang sinabi nya at i-set iyon sa MUTE. At syempre ang sabi ko, Of course not, na-irritate lang yan, mejo marami rin yung binasa kong review materials eh. At totoo naman iyon. Ilang libong practice tests, plus 1000 previous board exam questions, at di mabilang na pages ng ibat ibang libro na ang nabasa ko.

Di ko naman sinasabi na nasa paramihan ng review materials ang sukatan ng pag-study. It's how you learn from them... at syempre kung paano mo ito i-aapply sa actual exam questions. Tama diba? Pero alam nating lahat na madaling sabihin iyon kesa gawin.

Ah basta. Gagawin ko lang lahat ng makakaya ko at si Lord na ang bahala sa lahat ng mga hindi ko kaya. Marami-rami rin ito. Kaya nga sa Kanya ko na ipapaubaya dahil di hamak namang mas magaling siya sa akin.

Kumbaga, TAG-TEAM kami ni Lord sa December 18 at 19. Hindi ako nag iisa at mas lalong hindi ko na kailangang solohin ang lahat ng worries sa mundo. Knowing that, solve na ako. :))

"I look like a bum who got himself a nurse for a girlfriend," you told me with the emphasis and sincerity only your eye-to-eye contact and half-smile could bring.

"We're more like the nurse-janitor couple you heard about in the radio joke," I added in a matter-of-fact way. Then another bout of laughter.

There we are in the nearest mall, me in my all-white Type C nursing uniform, and you in your green "Go Team" T-shirt, denim shorts, slippers and backpack to complete the look (I'm sorry I just HAD to be more specific on your getup for this post). But if people were keener in senses they would notice that despite our "funny loveteam" look, we are both happy, contented, and oh so in love with each other. (CHEESE ALERT!)

I am constantly amazed at how we always manage to squeeze in our irregular, hectic schedule the meager chance of seeing each other. Even if it means me walking 100kph after an exam because there's still 35 minutes left before it's your turn to go to your own review class. Even if it means you finding any reason to go to school just so we could be together on our way home. Oh, we do have our ways. Haha! :))

We'll I guess it just shows how much we love and enjoy being together, inside the bounds of rationality, of course. Talking to you is one of the best things in life. I smile like a fool and laugh my heart out when I'm with you and I don't care. <3

With this post I would like to thank you for all the things that we do so we could be together. Although it just comes naturally, not just an out-of-duty affair. I thank you for all the random times where we could sing and dance together, walk in the rain, eat till we get stuffed, whisper "I love you's" in public places when we think no one is looking, and just goof around with friends. I thank God for giving us all these funny and sweet moments that I will always remember. I thank you for the love and friendship, and for making me the proudest girlfriend on earth. :))

I love you so much! You make my heart swell with happiness and sometimes I just fear it might burst into a million pieces. <3

Due to our Pre-Board Exam activity, I was wearing my nursing uniform. Gilbert, my boy-and-friend, was going to have his usual after-class basketball game. Hence, the abovementioned attire. :))
