If The Shoe Fits...

I got a text message that says, "If true love is what we need, then why don't we recognize it when we see it?"

Pffft. People are natural-born grumblers.

It's because (more often than not) we make our own sugarcoated idea of what love is. We are blinded by the rigid criteria and expectations that we have so intelligently thought up for ourselves. He should be like this. She should be like that. The list goes on, and we realize we want it when it's too late.

And it's not always about love. It could be an opportunity. A job. A business. A friendship. Something that could give us happiness if we just give it a chance. We may not know, but it could be the best we'd ever have.

It takes skills to discern an opportunity and a good deal of courage to go for it.

I pray to God that I'll be able to do so. I hope you will, too.
